Job description

As a Warehouse Sorting Team Supervisor, you will be overseeing partial warehouse including the sorting, drying and waste management departments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Organize and process loads in order provided by Operations Manager.
  • Electronically log and record load weights by material type.
  • Digitally recieve inbound loads on the driver inbound load board.
  • Oversee setup and breakdown of load area carts by load type.
  • Keep sorting team members on task and following processes to meet daily productivity goals.
  • Position carts for the sorting team.
  • Process post sorted materials into bale and drying departments.
  • Process empty carts into designated areas.
  • Coordinate removal of waste and gaylords with waste management department.
  • Offload or load trailers when needed.
  • Load and unload gaylords to and from the tipper.
  • Keep area clean and organized with a focus on worker safety, team safety and productivity.


This position requires high attention to detail, and open communication skills. You must be able to execute based on instruction and be able to be flexible when instructions change. You must have forklift experience. You will be standing for extended periods of time, must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and may be asked to do other miscellaneous tasks around the facility/property. You need to be able to speak, understand, read and write in English with some basic computer knowledge.


The sorting department (5 to 8 employee) is responsible for bulk grading/sorting of various different laundered textile goods by material type/quality.

The drying department (1 employee) is responsible for drying the wet/damp textile goods that come from the sorting department.

The waste management department (1 employee) is responsible for cutting boxes for production, baling, and assisting with waste activity.
