Job description

Job Title: Yard Job Puller - Night Shift
Job Description:
• Performs various forklift moves such as moving/staging pull jobs, sorting parts, assisting assembly with forklift moves as needed.
• Pull complete and accurate jobs from purchased parts BOM list, sheet metal, sub assembly, flat welding, and stockroom.
• Assist assembly areas by pulling sheet metal parts, fabricated parts, and other components ahead of time to ensure the units are completely pulled.
• Communicates to yard leader when items are missing to have items ordered for specific jobs.
• Participates in team and shop business problem solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, process improvements, and organizational improvements.
• Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity success targets.
• May perform other duties, as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid Evapco forklift license.
• Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply whole numbers and fractions).
• Able to read and understand Production Orders, shop drawings, and Bill of Materials.
• Good communication/organizational skills/computer skills.
• Able to read a tape measure.
Physical Requirements:
• Work in both manufacturing and outdoor environments throughout the year.
• Continuous standing, sitting, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday.
• Lifting of 50 lbs. or less.
• Wear PPE.
