Job Description

As a Harvest Assistant, you'll play a key role in our production process by sorting corn, removing defective material, assisting with packaging, and maintaining a clean work environment. Your attention to detail helps ensure a high-quality product while keeping operations running efficiently during the busy harvest season.


Responsibilities
  • Inspect and manually sort corn on the production line.
  • Remove stalks, husks, rogue ears, and other non-conforming material.
  • Place rework product onto reclaim conveyors for further processing.
  • Assist with packaging, packing, and general production duties.
  • Keep production areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Perform end-of-shift cleanup and sanitation tasks.
  • Follow all quality, food safety, and cleanroom procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

  • Previous production, warehouse, agriculture, or general labor experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position is located in a clean, organized production facility focused on corn processing. Team members work near conveyor systems performing inspection, sorting, packaging, and cleaning duties.

1st Shift

  • Monday-Friday: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Saturday: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Expected schedule: 6 days per week during harvest season

2nd Shift

  • Monday-Friday: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Saturday hours vary based on production needs
  • Expected schedule: 6 days per week during harvest season

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Woodhull, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
