Job description

Description
This position is primarily responsible for night time cleaning duties related to the warehouse. Shift may vary when packing lines are not in operation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Employees will be assigned to a primary work area at the discretion of the crew supervisor, but may be asked to rotate through all areas as operations require:
Non-Food Contact Areas: Removing product from equipment; emptying/picking up garbage; sweeping, dusting, and general cleaning around non-contact food surfaces.
Wet Section: Cleaning and sanitizing the entry points of each line, including but not limited to the dumper area, brush bed, dryer, and drains.
Food Contact Areas: Cleaning and sanitizing the food contact areas of the packing lines.
The following essential functions are required among the three Line Sanitation work areas:
  • Use safety equipment (i.e. boots, gloves, goggles, rain gear) as necessary
  • Dump fruit lugs, Clean rot lugs weekly or as needed
  • Remove loose fruit from the floor and place in culls lug, using pallet jacks, remove trash bins with decaying fruit
  • Clean drains, sweep floor, Dust, mop sorting table floor, clean presort table,
  • Rinse wax brushes, clean brush machine with a de-waxer
  • Empty dump tank, cleans and refills with fresh water as directed by Supervisor
  • Apply sanitizer to brush machine, pre-sort table, and dump tank
  • Store all cleaning supplies and tools in designated area
  • Notify supervisor for any cleaning supplies needed
  • Turn off all equipment and lights before leaving building
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as workload varies
  • Operate equipment only when protective guards are in place; inform supervisor of any safety concerns, such as protective guards not being in place

  • Uso de equipo de seguridad (es decir, botas, guantes, gafas, equipo de lluvia) según sea necesario

  • Retire la fruta suelta del piso y colóquela en botes de fruta mala, usando pallet jacks, retire los contenedores de basura con fruta en descompuesta

  • Enjuague los cepillos de cera, limpie la máquina de cepillo de cera con un desencerador
  • Tirar el agua de los tanques, limpiar y rellenar con agua limpia según las instrucciones del Supervisor
  • Aplique desinfectante a la máquina de cepillado, las mesas de sortear y el tanque de agua
