Position Summary:
Flex Labor will perform multiple tasks to support the effective and efficient operations of the production department. Flex Laborers will be rotated around production areas depending on production needs. Some areas include but are not limited to Sorting, Stickering, the Auto-Bagger, Hand Stacking (up to 50lbs) in a cold and loud environment, clearing rot/cull buckets as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example our Blue Star Vision, Mission, and Values
  • Be kind and offer solutions
  • This individual may be rotated constantly in Production between presorting, sorting, placing stickers on bags and/or boxes, hand stacking boxes, and clearing rot/cull buckets
  • This individual is responsible for communicating effectively with the line lead/production supervisor to ensure proper time management
  • This individual is required to stay in their assigned work area, except during breaks times
  • Ability to hand stack boxes (up to 50lbs) in a cold and loud environment
  • Clearing rot/cull buckets as needed (up to 40lbs)
  • Verify that fruit being handled on the auto-bagger is acceptable for weights and quality
  • Ability to sort on the sorting table for long periods of time
  • Other duties as assigned
