Job Summary:

Are you an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician looking for a long-term opportunity with competitive pay and excellent benefits? We are seeking a dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician to help maintain and repair automated material handling equipment in a fast-paced distribution environment. If you have strong troubleshooting skills and enjoy working with mechanical and electrical systems, this Industrial Maintenance Technician position could be the right fit for you.

Job Responsibilities

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on conveyors, sortation systems, automated storage and retrieval systems, and other material handling equipment.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair automated conveyance and sortation equipment.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify maintenance needs before failures occur.
  • Plan, schedule, and complete maintenance tasks using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create, update, and complete work orders while tracking maintenance activities and spare parts inventory.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues involving conveyor motors, belts, rollers, stretch wrappers, dock doors, photo-eye sensors, and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and motor control circuits.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Work closely with operations and fellow maintenance team members to maximize equipment performance.
  • Perform routine safety inspections throughout maintenance and production areas.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment environment.
  • Experience maintaining Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and following OEM safety standards.
  • Minimum of 2 years troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks or working from scissor lifts is preferred.
  • Technical certification or an associate degree in a mechanical or electrical field is preferred.
  • Excellent attendance and flexibility to support operational needs.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for 8-12 hour shifts.
  • Frequently bend, reach, stretch, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Climb ladders and work in elevated or confined spaces.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds safely.
