Job description

Document Technician – Livonia, Michigan – IN-PERSON
Job Summary
This role is responsible for the detailed documentation, processing, cleaning, inventory, and restoration of documents retrieved from disaster scenarios. Restoration may include preserving records by utilizing specialized restoration techniques, proper handling procedures and ensure quality. Periodic travel may be required throughout Southeast Michigan and overnight travel to customer locations across the United States. The length of travel could be from 1-3 weeks. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, customer focused, and Microsoft office capable.
Responsibilities
  • Clean and restore documents affected by water, smoke, soot, mold, etc. to pre-loss condition.
  • Inspect own work and ensure that it is complete, thorough, and meets quality standards and/or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Cooperate with other team members and perform assigned duties.
  • Periodic overnight travel to customer locations is required. When traveling on company business, all travel, lodging, and meals are provided.
  • Working out of town restoration projects.
Requirements
  • Understanding of data confidentiality principles is necessary.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Dependable, able to follow specific direction, be a team player and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Will be cross trained to work with other divisions in the company for local and out-of-town job location.
