This role is designed for someone who is passionate about photography, visual storytelling, and imaging technology, and thrives on sharing that passion with others. Across Best Buy locations and photo specialty dealers, you’ll serve as Nikon’s in-market expert—training retail teams, engaging with customers, and demonstrating how Nikon products help capture extraordinary moments. From hands-on camera demonstrations to community engagement and live shooting environments, you’ll transform product knowledge into memorable, experience-driven interactions that build brand loyalty and measurable results.

Schedule & Location
  • Full-time role, 40 hours per week, including weekends
  • Best Buy locations and photo specialty dealers within assigned market

What We Offer
  • Pay rate range: $32.00–$34.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
  • Up to 20% quarterly performance bonus
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and prescription insurance plans
  • W2 employment with direct deposit
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • 401(k) option with employer match
Your Mission
  • Drive sales performance by combining retail expertise with authentic photography knowledge, helping customers select the right gear for their creative needs
  • Build strong partnerships with Best Buy Blue Shirts, department managers, and store leadership to establish ongoing gear credibility and brand advocacy for Nikon
  • Deliver engaging product training that includes real-world photography applications, increasing associate confidence and recommendation rates
  • Bring products to life through hands-on camera demonstrations, showcasing features like autofocus performance, lens versatility, low-light capability, and video functionality
  • Maintain strong in-store presence and elevate merchandising and demo experiences to feel interactive, educational, and inspiring
  • Sell directly to consumers during peak traffic days, guiding customers through camera selection, settings, and use cases—from beginner to enthusiast levels
  • Identify opportunities to increase sell-through based on customer behavior, photography trends, and store dynamics
  • Support photo specialty retailers and local events, leading live demos, shooting experiences, and community engagement activities
  • Represent Nikon at key retail events, product launches, and activations—creating immersive brand moments centered around photography and content creation
  • Track performance, gather insights, and report competitive intelligence with a focus on imaging trends and customer preferences
Territory Ownership & Execution
  • Own and manage a defined market, including multiple Best Buy locations and select photo specialty dealers
  • Determine weekly priorities based on business needs, photography events, and sales opportunities
  • Balance time across:
    • Relationship building and training
    • In-store execution and merchandising
    • Direct selling and live demo days
    • Photography-focused events and specialty channel support
  • Participate in local and out-of-market photography events, workshops, and activations (occasional overnight travel required)
  • Operate with autonomy while aligning to program goals and expectations
What We’re Looking For
  • 2–5+ years of experience in retail sales, field marketing, consumer electronics, or photography-related roles
  • Strong passion for photography or videography—professional experience or serious enthusiast background highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of camera systems, lenses, lighting, composition, and core settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed)
  • Familiarity with major imaging brands (Nikon, Canon, Sony) and the broader camera ecosystem
  • Ability to translate technical features into simple, engaging, real-world photography guidance
  • Proven success in training, influencing, and building relationships in retail environments
  • Experience managing a territory with a high level of autonomy
  • Comfortable selling directly to consumers and guiding purchase decisions across skill levels
  • Strong knowledge of both national retail environments and photo specialty channels
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Portfolio, social media, or examples of photography work (preferred but not required)
