As a Specialist, Content and National Promotion, you will have the opportunity to utilize your exceptional communication skills to support the Sony Music Nashville roster of artists by proactively promoting airplay and maximizing exposure and consumption. You will have impact across the business by serving as a conduit for communication and information flow between SMN promotion, A&R, and marketing staffs, contributing to single and album launch marketing plans, managing relationships with national radio partners, and planning and executing promotion events.
What you'll do:
  • Role model SMG's Global People Promise, Values and Behaviors in all that you do, helping to drive a sustainable high-performance culture within our business
  • Help develop and implement airplay and exposure strategies for SMN artists
  • Serve as a liaison between marketing, promotion, and commercial partnerships in implementation of campaigns to benefit and break artists/projects to enhance awareness and drive consumption
  • Plan and execute various department events including artist showcases, radio meetings and summit experiences, conferences, and award show happenings.
  • Maintain artist and team calendars
  • Provide support for regionals including occasional travel for show coverage, events, onsite promotions, interviews and artist meet-n-greets.
  • Solicit, compile, capture, edit, transcribe, deliver content for national radio & marketing partners:
    • Maintain department content documentation, catalog, and prep site as well as assisting with radio digital music deliveries and various event invitations
    • Schedule and assist with on-site artist content captures, including syndicated and satellite content captures and radio remotes
    • Use skill and knowledge of digital audio editing, video editing/production software, and various broadcasting technologies to record and complete post-production editing
    • Regularly support and execute artist interview, liner, and phoner collaborations with radio partners
Who you are:
  • An industry professional with a working knowledge of the music industry and/or country radio promotion (generally gained through 2+ years of experience working with artists and/or management)
  • A content expert with demonstrated skill to create and produce/edit entertainment content in both audio and video format and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Abobe suite (specifically Premiere + Audition)
  • A results-driven individual with demonstrated organizational skills and focus on attention to detail
  • A problem solver with strong creative and strategic skills and sound editorial judgement
  • A team player willing to work nights, weekends and travel as needed (approximately 1-2 times per month)
  • A collaborator with a proven ability to maintain constructive working relationships with others and ability to adapt behavior to meet expectations and needs of different audiences
