Position Description:
CGI Federal is looking for a Solutions Engineer to deliver client facing applications, integrations, and automation that streamline operations and improve business processes. This role is software development-focused and requires strong engineering fundamentals.
This position is located in Tucson, AZ.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Solution Engineer will manage and modernize databases and data platforms, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable operations across Access, SQL, Dataverse, and Power Platform solutions. They will develop automation and applications using tools like VBA, .NET, Power Automate, Copilot, and AutoHotkey to improve data quality and streamline business processes. The position will also drive technical strategy, documentation, and continuous improvement across the team.
• Power Apps & Dataverse
• Design and support Power Apps using Dataverse as the primary data platform.
• Build and maintain Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, and security roles.
• Optimize Dataverse performance, storage, and data flows.
• Integrate Dataverse with SQL systems, Access databases, API sources, and Power Automate.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• US Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
1 - 4 years of professional experience in software development; applications and/or integrations.
Experience supporting or administering solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Dataverse, and
• Power Automate.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, Java, C#/.NET, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB.
• Familiarity with AI assisted development tools, particularly Microsoft Copilot.
• Strong interpersonal skills; role is team based and client facing.
• Strong debugging/problem solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (InfoPath, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $63,700.00 $156,700.00.
