The Role

Solutions Engineers on Peregrine's Federal team are hands-on builders who bridge mission needs and technical delivery. This is a hybrid Solutions Engineering + Implementation role focused on deploying Peregrine in complex federal environments. You will work directly with mission operators, analysts, engineers, and leadership to understand operational challenges, design technical solutions, and implement workflows that turn data into actionable intelligence.

As a foundational member of Peregrine's growing Federal team, you will help build the technical, operational, and go-to-market engine that enables our expansion across federal agencies. This role offers the opportunity to shape how we deploy, support, and scale Peregrine in mission-critical government environments.

What You'll Do
  • Engage directly with federal stakeholders to understand mission workflows, operational constraints, and technical environments, and lead technical discovery sessions with analysts, operators, and IT teams
  • Translate mission problems into scalable data and platform solutions and deliver tailored demonstrations using mission-relevant datasets
  • Build analytical workflows, data models, and system integrations using Python, SQL, and ETL pipelines within complex government environments
  • Configure and deploy Peregrine to support real-world mission workflows, leading early-stage implementations and pilots
  • Drive successful platform adoption in secure and operationally sensitive environments
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to adapt Peregrine to federal security requirements and provide field feedback to inform product development
  • Partner with Business Development on federal capture strategy, deal execution, and procurement processes
  • Contribute technical expertise to RFIs, RFPs, technical evaluations, and proof-of-concept deployments
  • Build reusable demo environments, workflows, and deployment playbooks to scale Peregrine's federal go-to-market motion
What We Look For
  • 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting, pre-sales engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
  • Experience partnering with customers to understand needs, shape solutions, and deliver technical product demonstrations
  • Experience deploying enterprise software, data platforms, or analytics solutions in customer environments
  • Strong technical background including: Python, SQL, Data Modeling, Data integration & ETL pipelines, analytics or data platform technologies
  • Ability to translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience collaborating across sales, engineering, product, and delivery teams
  • Experience working with U.S. federal government or public sector customers
  • Active security clearance preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal customer requirements
  • Comfortable and willing to travel 25-40% of the time
  • Located in Washington, D.C. and willing to work in our office
