Integrated Solutions is adding a Sales Engineer, responsible for working with customers, in coordination with sales, to product conceptual desings that fulfill current and future needs. The Solutions Engineer will need to stay current on industry leading technologies and best practices. In additiona to conceptual design, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for estimating, schedule development, and assist in proposal creation.
**This position is based at Duravant in Downers Grove, Illinois.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.
  • Work with sales to evaluate client needs.
  • Partner with the OC's function to understand product capabilities & execution capabilities.
  • Understand the key technical, operational, and commercial challenges facing the prospective customer to assist in developing a value-added solution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and applications.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, industry specific events and trade shows.
  • Produce equipment list and pricing
  • Solicit quotes for equipment and services
  • Maintain drawing block library
  • Develop Pricing Review Document (PRD)
  • Develop calculation sheets for productivity, throughputs, and rates to aid in solution design
  • Create Information Request Form for initial data capture for new opportunities
  • Schedules technical and price review meetings
  • Maintain quote schedule for timely delivery of proposal
  • Actively participates in process improvement

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of material handling equipment application
  • Technical writing skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Ability to interface with colleagues and customers at all levels, by virtue of professional competence, integrity and personal style.
  • Travel 10-20%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion, the colleague may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
The incumbent must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The position is an office-based position with regular visits to the manufacturing area.
