What are Solutions Associates?

Solutions Associates are professionals who work with clients to identify business needs and recommend tailored solutions, often involving products or services from their company. They collaborate with sales, technical, and support teams to ensure the proposed solutions meet client requirements and drive value. Solutions Associates may also assist in implementing solutions, troubleshooting issues, and providing ongoing support to clients. Their role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

How does a Solutions Associate typically collaborate with sales and technical teams during client engagements?

As a Solutions Associate, you play a key role in bridging the gap between sales and technical teams by translating client needs into actionable solutions. You often participate in client meetings alongside sales representatives to gather requirements, then work closely with technical staff to design tailored solutions that address those needs. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as you'll coordinate feedback and ensure all teams are aligned throughout the sales and implementation process. Effective collaboration helps streamline project delivery and improves client satisfaction.

Is Solution Architect replaced by AI?

A Solutions Architect is a professional who designs and implements complex technology solutions and requires skills in systems design, cloud platforms, and client communication. While AI tools can assist in tasks like data analysis and automation, they do not replace the strategic planning and expertise of a Solutions Architect, who must understand business needs and tailor solutions accordingly.

What is the average salary of a Solution Architect?

The average salary of a Solution Architect typically ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience, industry, and location. Professionals with certifications like AWS or TOGAF and strong technical skills often earn higher salaries.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Solutions Associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Solutions Associate, you need strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a relevant bachelor's degree, often in business, IT, or a related field. Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and sometimes basic knowledge of cloud or SaaS solutions are typically required. Excellent communication, client relationship management, and adaptability help set outstanding Solutions Associates apart. These skills and qualifications are vital for effectively understanding client needs, delivering tailored solutions, and fostering long-term business partnerships.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Solutions Associates typically do not earn $10,000 a month without specialized experience or skills. High-paying roles that can reach this level without a degree often include sales, real estate, or entrepreneurship, but they require strong skills, networking, and sometimes certifications. Most well-paying jobs in this range demand experience, technical skills, or industry knowledge rather than formal degrees alone.

Job description

Cydcor is looking for an Associate Solutions Architect to partner with our business teams and engineering leaders, turning business problems into well-reasoned, cross-system solutions. You'll sit between the business and the technical teams: understanding what the business actually needs, designing the path across our enterprise systems to get there, and staying close enough to delivery to prototype, review, and unblock. You'll work directly witha hands-on Enterprise Architect, with a clear path to grow into broader architectural ownership over time.
This is not a deep-specialist role in a single technology, and it is not a detached, slides-only architecture role. We're looking for genuine breadth across systems and someone who stays hands-on in the code and the design, not only the conversation. The "Associate" title reflects a developmental, grow-into path with strong mentorship; it is not a cap on capability, and we welcome candidates at a range of experience levels who fit that shape.
What you'll do
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their problems deeply, then design solutions across our enterprise systems (Salesforce, AWS, integration platforms, and our data estate)
  • Generate multiple solution options, weigh the tradeoffs, and land a clear, defensible recommendation - and explain the "why" so technical and business audiences alike feel confident
  • Assess the impact of proposed solutions on existing systems and processes before they're built
  • Build proof-of-concepts, review designs and code, and provide hands-on guidance that helps senior developers move faster
  • Work closely with development teams to carry architectural intent through to implementation, unblocking them wherever needed
  • Use AI tools fluently to extend your reach across systems and accelerate prototyping, review, and analysis
  • Grow, with mentorship, toward broader cross-enterprise solution design and architectural authority

Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field/equivalent work experience
  • Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in software development, including working knowledge of performance, security, and scalability principles
  • Demonstrated ability to decompose complex business problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and communicate technical reasoning clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Cross-system thinking with the ability to reason across multiple systems including source of truth, integrations, data integrity, and failure modes
  • Proven learning agility with a track record of independently building competence in new domains
  • Active and informed use of AI tools in day-to-day work, with sound judgment on where they add value and where they do not
  • Software development background with a clear trajectory toward solution design and architecture ownership; demonstrated reasoning and design judgment are weighted more heavily than years of experience or title

Benefits
  • Competitive compensation with bonus potential
  • Hybrid flexibility: Fridays remote
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • High ownership and visibility - your architectural decisions will shape how Cydcor uses AI for years to come
  • A culture that values innovation, autonomy, and impact
