Job Description:

The Solution Architect for Therapeutics Development plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the technical architecture that underpins nextgeneration R&D capabilities across small molecules, peptides, and oligonucleotides. This role bridges scientific needs with scalable technology solutions, ensuring automation, data, and digital platforms accelerate DMTA cycles and enable highquality decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain the Technology architecture vision, roadmap, and standards for the Therapeutics Development domain. Align technology landscape across squads to promote interoperability, modularity, and scalability.
  • Provide architectural leadership across squads, ensuring alignment to enterprise patterns, reusable components, and modern engineering practices. And ensure compliance with security, privacy, data governance, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive evaluation, design, and selection of technical solution options; build, test, and validate architectural concepts and prototypes. Translate complex business and scientific requirements into scalable and actionable technical designs.
  • Partner with scientific customers to agree on technology options and ensure longterm sustainability.
  • Collaborate with platform and product teams to improve leverage of enterprise capabilities (Cloud, data platforms, workflow engines, lab systems).
  • Own lifecycle management for domain technologies, including the Product API catalog and the governance of integrations.
  • Monitor emerging technology trends in lab automation, cloud engineering, AI/ML, and scientific computing. Conduct research spikes and feasibility assessments for new capabilities relevant to Therapeutics Development workflows and workflow automation
  • Collaborate with product owner on the actual implementation, meaning building out the correct team, resourcing, budget and continued engagement to ensure the architecture is implemented as intended.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific or technical subject area; Master's preferred.
Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • At least 3 years of experience enabling or developing scientific IT capabilities, in (bio)pharmaceutical discovery or early development.
  • Strong foundational skills in IT, including database design, data engineering, cloud computing, and architecture principles.
  • Proven track record to translate complex scientific and business needs into practical technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language for prototyping, integration, or workflow automation.
  • Demonstrated experience owning products or platforms throughout their lifecycle in a multi disciplinary team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and build trusted partnerships across functions.
  • Experience in leading a team of external resources
  • Experience delivering highquality digital solutions including dependency management, release planning, change control, validation, and governance.
Preferred:
  • Experience with labspecific systems such as ELN, LIMS,SDMS, or automation control software.
  • Understanding of GxP or regulated system requirements.
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and software validation practices.
