Sodexo is hiring a strategic Solution Designer III to develop innovative, scalable solutions that align operational capabilities, financial goals, and client needs to drive competitive advantage, improve win rates, and support growth.

About the job

The Solution Designer III is responsible for developing client-focused, competitive solution strategies that support Sodexo North America's commercial growth objectives within their assigned segment. This role partners with Sales, Operations, Commercial Finance, and other cross-functional teams to design innovative food, environmental services, integrated facilities management, and support service solutions that align with client needs and operational capabilities. The position leads the development of winning solutions for segment-specific opportunities, including new business pursuits, renewals, and strategic deals, while ensuring financial, operational, and service excellence standards are achieved. The role applies strong business, operational, and analytical expertise to assess opportunities, develop complex segment specific solutions, support decision-making, and improve overall solution quality and deal performance. In addition, the Solution Designer III helps standardize solution design approaches, supports smaller deal teams, and contributes to the continuous improvement of commercial solution processes and client outcomes. Through effective collaboration and disciplined solution development, the role directly contributes to increased win rates, operational alignment, and sustainable business growth.

The role of an individual contributor within the organization focuses on completing specific tasks and projects; contributing directly through their skills and expertise. Performs specialized technical tasks to support operations. Work is primarily achieved independently, however may collaborate with a team.

Pay Range: $115940 - $180070

Incentive Eligibility: Eligible to participate in Sodexo's incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary

The Solution Designer is solely responsible for providing meal plan and retail strategic direction and assisting accounts in developing actionable roadmaps to elevate and enhance dining programs in support of the campus' strategic goals.  
  • Our Solution Design team use a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques to drive business impact with our clients. You will lead the research from design to analysis and translate research findings into actionable business recommendations for the client. You are a strong problem solver and adaptable, with an ability to build trust and partnership at all levels of an organization. You demonstrate the highest levels of ownership and show confidence and clear understanding of your position, your value in the strategic planning process and your recommendations. You are a clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal. You have a proven track record of success in difficult, highly ambiguous situations. 
  • You will also be asked to provide meal plan training at the operational level, conduct unit operational assessments and financial analysis in support of predictive analytics, provide guidance and mentorship to field management, support development of analytical management tools for the Segment.


What you'll bring 

  • Experience with large, multi-segment enterprise (e.g. healthcare, education, corporate services, seniors, sports & leisure) with exposure to complex, multi site or multi-service deals.
  • Demonstrated track record of contributing to improved win rates, pricing discipline, and profitable growth through high quality solution design and proposal support.
  • Experience working closely with senior commercial leaders (e.g., VP, Solution Design, Sales VPs, Operations VPs) to translate growth strategies into executable solution roadmaps and playbooks.
  • Advanced proficiency with solution design and proposal tools (e.g., design software, estimating tools, proposal platforms) and familiarity with CRM/pipeline systems such as Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across various levels, and with the ability to present complex technical solutions and business cases to senior internal stakeholders and client decision makers.
  • Experience operating in an environment with formal commercial governance, deal review processes, and cross functional collaboration among Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and GBS.
  • Exposure to or experience with sustainability, ESG, and workplace experience initiatives as differentiators in solution and proposal design.

  • Related Management Experience: 3+ years
  • Related Functional Experience: 5+ years
