Job Title:         Mechanical Engineer Manager
Client:              Aerospace / Aviation / Defense Company
Location:         Cincinnati, OH
Duration:         Full-Time
Shift:                4/10 Schedule
Relocation:      Available for ideal candidate
Security:          U.S. Citizen required (Security Clearance eligible)

Job Summary

Lead a team of engineers and designers while serving as the technical lead for mechanical product design, development, testing, and production support within an aerospace/defense environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering team members
• Support hiring, workforce planning, and performance management
• Drive mechanical design decisions for new and existing products
• Develop and validate mechanical designs and engineering solutions
• Perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and design analysis
• Support FEA, thermal, vibration, shock, and structural evaluations
• Provide technical input for proposals (RFPs) and customer reviews
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and production issues
• Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams on corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer standards

Required Skills

• Mechanical engineering leadership experience
• CAD experience (SolidWorks, NX, Solid Edge, etc.)
• GD&T (ASME Y14.5 / Y14.100)
• Tolerance stack-up analysis
• Mechanical product design & development
• Design verification and testing experience
• Manufacturing support and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• FEA and validation testing experience
• DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly)
• Aerospace or defense industry experience
• AS9100 / ISO 9001 knowledge
• Vibration, fatigue, and thermal analysis experience
• Active Secret Clearance (preferred)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree + 9 years experience, OR
• Master's Degree + 7 years experience, OR
• 13+ years related experience in lieu of degree
