ACT Power Services was created to provide industry leading services for our clients. Our vision is to reshape the industry's benchmark for renewable operations and create the next generation of O&M provider.

Reporting to the SVP of Technical Services, the VP of Engineering Services will lead ACT to the development of Engineering and Operational Technology services to improve performance, revenue and valuation of Solar, BESS assets as they mature.

Work with the SVP of Technical Services to identify market opportunities, manage team utilization. Engage portfolio engineers and clients to identify new mandates and develop the teams as we scale services.

Key Responsibilities

Build the Organization

  • Design and scale Engineering Services team structure
  • Recruit and mature teams subject matter experts
  • Establish culture of technical excellence and accountability

Technical Leadership

  • Own all complex technical scopes:
  • SCADA, OT, performance engineering, modeling
  • Standardize engineering methodologies and deliverables
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all projects

Operating Model Development

  • Implement intake, prioritization, and delivery processes
  • Define SLAs between Engineering Services and Portfolio teams
  • Drive utilization and efficiency metrics

Cross-Functional Integration

Partner with:

  • Portfolio Management (client interface)
  • Field Operations (execution)
  • Commercial team (scope development)
  • Serve as senior technical authority for the organization

Innovation & Growth

  • Develop new service offerings (optimization, analytics, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to monetize engineering capabilities
  • Drive adoption of advanced tools and platforms

Qualifications

  • 12-15+ years in solar, power, or related infrastructure. PE or ability to license preferred
  • Deep experience in at least one:
  • SCADA / controls
  • Performance engineering
  • Power systems engineering
  • Proven leadership of technical teams
  • Experience scaling engineering or services organizations
  • Strong commercial awareness (not purely academic)
