Job description

The Site Surveyor will provide site auditing services to obtain and communicate the necessary information needed to adequately propose a solar system design.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to project sites in the Tampa Florida area to obtain necessary information to complete technical design documents for a solar system
  • Create detailed rooftop map layout for solar arrays including roof layout dimensions and all roof penetrations (pipes, vents etc.)
  • Develop a positive relationship with customers to establish rapport and to gather facilities assessment data as needed
  • Conduct a physical site audit using auditing tools including a tablet/phone with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment
  • Upload site audit documents as needed to coordinate with the design/engineering department to produce permit-ready documents
  • Provide and maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle
  • Gathers detailed structural data on residential homes
  • Identifies issues on homes that may interfere with our installations
  • Gathers all electrical data required by the company
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand, read, and comprehend contract documents, plans and written and verbal communication skills required to prepare site audit documents and conduct site audit meetings with customers
  • Must be physically able to work on roofs and in attics, as well as lift 50+ pounds on occasion
  • Must be able to work different schedules that involve Mondays- Saturdays
  • Must be located in or around the Las Vegas, NV area
  • Must be able to follow all safety procedures required by the company Physical demands and abilities * Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles
  • Lifting various types of ladders up to 32ft
  • Work on various roof types and heights which include but are not limited to steep roofs, metal roofs, comp shingle, tile, etc.
  • Work in multiple weather conditions which include but are not limited to, wet weather, and extreme heat
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen

Qualifications

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Solar: 2 years (Preferred)

Education
