Job description

Renu Energy Solutions is a leading provider of residential and commercial solar, battery storage, generator solutions, and post-installation service throughout the Carolinas. Since 2010, we've helped thousands of homeowners and businesses transition to clean energy through quality workmanship, exceptional service, and innovative energy solutions.
We're looking for a Solar Technician to join our growing Field Operations team. In this field-based role, you'll work alongside experienced Team Leads to install residential solar PV systems while learning the skills needed to build a successful career in the renewable energy industry. Every day brings something different, from preparing job sites and installing solar equipment to supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.
New team members receive classroom and hands-on field training during their first 30 days. All tools and required safety equipment are provided, and some local travel between job sites is required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • System Installation: Assist with the installation of residential solar PV systems from start to finish.
  • Project Execution: Follow project plans, specifications, and installation requirements while communicating field updates.
  • Quality & Safety: Perform work in accordance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Team Support: Assist the Team Lead and crew members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain work vehicles, trailers, tools, equipment, and job site organization.
  • Project Preparation: Assist with job packs, material staging, warehouse coordination, and project documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Complete training and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Requirements
Required / Minimum
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work safely on rooftops, ladders, attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
  • General knowledge of construction, building materials, and OSHA safety practices
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

Preferred / Helpful
  • 1+ year of solar installation experience
  • Experience with residential construction or roofing
