Summary
Under limited supervision, the Project Manager will manage and coordinate all tasks associated with one or more projects or components of larger initiatives within Medicaid IT Services. Reporting to the Medicaid IT Services Deputy Director, this is an individual contributor role requiring a self-starter with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Daily Responsibilities
  • Manage the full project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout) for small to large projects following established SDLC methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle, including work plans, status reports, and dashboards.
  • Coordinate and manage project scope, schedule, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee communication plans and provide updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and leadership.
  • Identify potential issues and implement risk mitigation strategies to facilitate problem resolution.
  • Build and maintain collaborative, high-performing project teams with available resources.
  • Work within Change Management and Release Management frameworks for Medicaid System implementations.
  • Maintain project roadmaps and present processes and stakeholder feedback to senior leadership.
  • May require working over 40 hours/week, including weekends, as needed.
Required Skills
  • Strong Project Management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager
  • 4+ years of experience with PowerBI
  • 3+ years of experience with Mainframe and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Project Web App, Power BI, Teams, and Mainframe.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, adaptability, self-motivation, time management, and ability to work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with healthcare claims processing.
• Process development and management expertise.
• Incident and change management experience.
