Job Description

Korsail Energy is seeking a Project Development Engineer to oversee the technical aspects of our solar and storage projects. This position is ideal for candidates with a utility or consulting background who have considerable experience managing the design and construction ofย energy projects.ย 

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Development Engineer will support the development of greenfield solar and storage projects from initial feasibility studies,ย through preliminary design and interconnection, and on to commercial operation. You will have a significant amount of responsibility in this role and will also have significant room for growth in the company.

We are seeking an individual with 3+ years of utility scale solar project development experience. Candidates should also be detail-oriented, proactive, supportive, and team-oriented.

Requirements:

  • This position requires an electrical, civil, or other relevantย engineeringย degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • An advanced degree in a business (MBA) or engineering discipline is a plus.
  • 3 or more years of experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Experience with electrical collection system designs.
  • Experience in electrical grid interconnections including single line design, permit applications, compliance with utility standards andย electrical codes, etc.
  • Experience with detailed design activities for renewable energy projects.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Experience writing technical reports and proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal, project planning, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with owner's engineering activities during renewable energy project execution is a plus.
  • Experience with battery energy storage system designs and/or energy management system designs is a plus.
