Job description

Our client is a dynamic subsidiary of a leading multinational infrastructure group, globally recognized for delivering complex industrial and energy projects. The business focuses on the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, battery storage, and transmission infrastructure.

With a growing international footprint across the United States, Latin America, Australia, and Europe, they are at the forefront of high-impact projects supporting the global energy transition. Backed by strong engineering expertise and an established EPC heritage, the company combines technical excellence with an investor mindset—developing and managing its own portfolio of assets end-to-end.

They are seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Solar Project Developer to lead the end-to-end development of large solar and solar-plus-storage projects (100+ MW), from origination through Notice to Proceed (NTP). This role blends technical, commercial, and stakeholder management expertise to deliver construction-ready projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Development & Origination

• Identify, evaluate, and secure suitable land for utility-scale solar projects

• Lead site due diligence (environmental, geotechnical, land use)

• Negotiate land agreements (leases, easements, purchases)

Interconnection & Transmission

• Manage and optimize utility and ISO/RTO interconnection processes

• Submit and track applications, studies, timelines, and costs

Permitting & Regulatory

• Secure all required permits and approvals across local, state, and federal levels

• Lead public engagement and hearings to build community support

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

Commercial & Financial

• Build and manage financial models (LCOE, valuation, returns)

• Structure and negotiate PPAs and key commercial agreements

• Manage budgets, schedules, and development risks

Qualifications

7+ years in utility-scale renewable energy development (solar preferred)

Proven track record delivering 50+ MW projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field

• Deep knowledge of full project lifecycle (origination to NTP)

• Strong experience in land, permitting, and interconnection processes

• Financial modeling and project finance expertise

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

What we offer:

• Located in Houston, Texas, on-site work mode

• Competitive salary range, depending on experience and qualifications

• Annual Bonus: Performance-based target bonus up to 15–20% of base salary

• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance

• 401(k) plan with company match

• Paid time off (vacation, holidays)
