Job description

Location: Houston Metro Area
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Travel: Field Position with occasional in-state travel

Houston Industrial Tradesmen is hiring Journeyman Electricians (JE) and Apprentice Electricians (AE) with experience in solar PV and battery storage systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team performing residential solar installations, battery storage integration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and system commissioning throughout the Houston area.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and troubleshoot residential solar and battery storage systems
  • Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, grounding, and equipment connections
  • Install and commission inverters, batteries, disconnects, and monitoring equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and system performance issues
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and company safety standards
  • Complete service documentation and communicate effectively with customers and team members

Requirements:

  • Current Texas Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician License
  • Experience installing and servicing solar PV and battery storage systems
  • Experience with Enphase and SolarEdge products preferred
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and follow NEC guidelines
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Comfortable working on rooftops and in outdoor environments
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
