Job description

Job Description

Position Overview

As Manager, Origination you will be responsible for implementing Invenergy's commercial strategy in SPP and ERCOT by developing new and existing customer relationships, communicating Invenergy's story and key attributes, potential product offerings, and proposing and structuring energy transactions for the company's wind, solar, energy storage and thermal resource portfolio. This role would be an ideal growth opportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking to build on their existing experience and to help fuel the growth of one of the most dynamic and entrepreneurial companies in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new origination prospects and implement an outreach strategy for all products and technologies under development, including key customer messaging

  • Coordinate closely with internal Development, Finance, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs and other departments to develop solutions for customers

  • Originate and assist with structuring and closing complex transactions in coordination with Commercial Transactions team

  • Oversee the development of proposals, pricing, due diligence, presentations and responses for RFPs

  • Coordinate with Sales Operations Managers and Analysts to progress opportunities towards execution

  • Develop and maintain strong customer and business relationships

  • Develop origination strategies aligned with market fundamentals, asset development pipelines and long-term company objectives

  • Prepare and deliver presentations, pricing proposals, and business updates to internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain CRM software with latest status on outreach efforts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 8 years of experience in the energy sector in a development or sales capacity

  • Knowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets

  • Working knowledge of RTO operations, electric transmission and power generation and storage technologies

  • Proven sales, networking, negotiation and time management skills

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA (or similar advanced degree)

  • Knowledge of power markets, with a preference for SPP, ERCOT and WECC

  • Experience managing contracting process and negotiating agreements

  • Experience with project valuation and pricing

Base Pay

125,000.00 - 165,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 25% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
