DescriptionSolar Impact Inc. is searching for an experienced Solar Installer / Electrician to join our operations department. The person in this role is responsible for efficiently installing solar and electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
The ideal candidate for this position possesses the following traits:

- 3-5 years of solar and electrical experience
- Hands-on experience with NEC
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Close attention to detail and attention to process
- Working knowledge of digital devices and programs

โข Install electrical equipment per NEC guidelines
โข Demonstrate proficiency in bending conduit
โข Collaborate with a team to complete all tasks related to solar installations, such as job preparation, roof layout, racking, attachment, and system monitoring
โข Maintain professionalism while interacting with customers and team members
โข Ensure a safe work environment by strictly following Solar Impact safety protocols and OSHA regulations
โข Keep tools and parts organized on installation vehicles
โข Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment
โข Participate in all required safety and solar installation training
โข Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient project progress
โข Evaluate completed projects to identify areas for improving efficiency
โข Meet attendance and punctuality requirements set by Solar Impact
โข Work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary to meet project demands
โข Travel and work out of town as needed
Qualificationsโข 3 to 5 years of prior electrical experience or participation in the Electrical Apprentice program strongly preferred
โข A valid driver's license and insurability are required
โข A High School Diploma or GED is required
โข Must be capable of working at great heights
โข Able to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb ladders for prolonged periods
โข Must be able to stand for 10-hour shifts
โข Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
โข Must comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
โข Must be able to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures
โข Availability to work overtime and weekends is required
โข Electrical Apprentices must be willing to attend night classes
โข Safety is a top priority. Must continuously work in a manner that prevents accidents
