Job Description

Citadel Roofing and Solar is looking for a high energy, technically savvy, execution-oriented Solar Field and Service Technician with proven experience in the Solar industry to join our growing solar operations team. This full-time position is located in Sacramento, CA, but will involve working on projects throughout Northern California. This position will report to Citadel's Retro Solar Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components associated with PV and storage systems

Sit AHJ inspections and commission solar and battery systems

Perform Quality inspections for new installations

Inspect solar and storage installed systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repairs

Ensure projects comply with all applicable energy and construction codes

Test AC and DC electrical circuits in equipment, switch gear, distribution panels, disconnects, inverters, modules, rapid shut down devices, etc., using testing devices

Install and maintain monitoring systems

Qualifications:

3+ years solar & battery system installation experience

Technical understanding of and familiarity with leading types and brands of solar equipment

Ability to work autonomously

Strong problem solving ability

Experience in electrical troubleshooting - i.e. power outages, shorts, faults, etc.

C-10 electrical contractor's license or journeyman level electrical experience preferred

Good at communicating and interacting with homeowners

Valid state driver's license with clean driving record

Willing and able to climb ladders and conduct work on rooftops
