What is a solar inspector?

A Solar Inspector is responsible for evaluating solar panel installations to ensure they meet safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations. They inspect system components, wiring, and mounting structures to confirm proper installation and performance. Solar Inspectors work with contractors, engineers, and government agencies to verify compliance and may issue reports or certifications. Their role helps ensure solar energy systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with legal standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a solar inspector?

To thrive as a Solar Inspector, you need a solid understanding of photovoltaic systems, electrical safety, and building codes, often supported by technical training or certification in solar technology or electrical inspection. Job description

Position Summary

As a Warehouse Specialist, you'll pull, pack, and ship orders accurately, receive and inspect incoming freight, and keep inventory counts precise - the behind-the-scenes work that keeps TERREPOWER's parts moving to customers on time. This is hands-on, physical work: you'll be on your feet, working a pallet jack, climbing ladders to reach stock, and using a computer system to track it all. If you like staying active, take pride in getting the count and the paperwork right every time, and want to be part of a growing company in the automotive parts industry, we want you with us.

What you'll do

  • Order fulfillment & shipping
    • Pull products from inventory to fill orders, carefully verifying item information and quantities against the pick ticket.
    • Pack and label items into the correct containers for shipment according to specifications.
    • Load shipments and pull/push loaded pallets of varying sizes and weights with a pallet jack to stage product for shipping.
    • Enter shipments into the computer system to generate accurate shipping tickets.
  • Receiving & inventory
    • Receive and unload incoming materials, comparing quantities on packing slips against what's actually received.
    • Inspect incoming freight for damage, check items and quantities against freight bills and other records, and document and report any discrepancies or damaged goods to your supervisor.
    • Enter received goods into the computerized inventory system accurately and on schedule.
    • Participate in period-end inventory counts, performing and clearly recording accurate counts as directed.
  • Warehouse operations & safety
    • Reach overhead and twist to select and put away product on shelving, and climb up and down a 25-foot ladder (carrying boxes up to 20 lbs) to access stock as needed.
    • Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment, following all prescribed safety regulations.
    • Show up consistently and on time - reliable attendance keeps the warehouse running for the whole team.

What you'll bring

  • High school diploma or GED - preferred.
  • Comfortable entering data into a computer system and pulling basic reports.
  • You can juggle multiple orders and shipments in progress at once without losing accuracy.
  • You catch discrepancies and damage before they become someone else's problem - attention to detail matters here.
  • You're coachable - willing to learn new systems and processes on the job.
  • You listen closely and use good judgment when something doesn't look right (a mismatched count, damaged freight, and so on).
  • Reliable, on-time attendance - the team depends on you showing up.

Nice-to-have

  • General working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • FedEx and UPS shipping familiarity.

Additional Information

Physical Demands: Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8-10 hours; lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, including totes up to 50 lbs; regularly bend, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head; comfortable climbing up and down a 25-foot ladder; able to work in environments with variable noise, lighting, and temperature, and access all areas of the building without limitations.

About Us:

For over 35 years, TERREPOWER (formerly BBB Industries) has been a leader in sustainable manufacturing, driving the circular economy by extending the life of essential products in the automotive and industrial markets.

Founded in 1987 in Daphne, Alabama by the Bigler family, TERREPOWER began as a small regional remanufacturer of starters and alternators. Our commitment to quality and innovation quickly earned us a reputation as a trusted name in the automotive industry.

Recognizing new challenges and opportunities, in 2019 we set our sights on EV battery upcycling-addressing one of the industry's most pressing issues. Our engineering team pioneered solutions to extend EV battery life, pushing the boundaries of sustainable innovation.

Recognizing that demand for solar panels would exceed availability and 100,000 tons of waste would potentially go into landfills by 2035, our team searched for an innovative way to upcycle solar panels. With an eye on the future, we developed ways to upcycle solar panels.

Rooted in family and community values, we're proud to have second-generation employees contributing to our legacy. Backed by Clearlake Capital, we've expanded our footprint into Europe with facilities in Spain, Italy, Denmark, Germany and Poland. We now sustainably manufacture and supply an assortment of nondiscretionary repair parts across more than 90 countries.

As we move forward under the TERREPOWER name, we remain committed to the same values that have always defined us: entrepreneurship, teamwork, customer-centered, sustainability, safety.

Why Join Us?

When you join our team, you become part of a company that is redefining how essential products are made, reused and repurposed to reduce waste and maximize resources.

Here's what sets us apart:

  • Purpose-Driven Work - Every day, your work will contribute to extending the useful life of essential products, keeping vehicles on the road and critical systems running.
  • Innovative Mindset - We encourage creative problem-solving and bold ideas to push the boundaries of what is possible.
  • Global Reach, Local Impact - With operations in North America and Europe, we have a global presence but remain deeply connected to the communities we serve.
  • Growth & Development - Whether you're on the production floor, in engineering, or part of our corporate team, we invest in your success through training, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities.
  • A Culture of Collaboration - Rooted in teamwork and shared values, our employees work together to tackle challenges and drive meaningful change.
