Position Summary


The Inspection Technician has the most important responsibility of ensuring all systems are ready to pass inspections; this includes walking City/County officials through a recently installed and ready-to-go solar system, and fixing any issues that may arise during the inspections!

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is interested in entering the Solar Industry, has some electrical background, and is ready to give it their all!


Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with inspectors to ensure efficient installation
  • Communicate with with coordinators/ managers
  • Solve any issues that may arise regarding code and installs (this requires electrical knowledge on how to fix said issues)
    • Examples
      • Breaker swaps
      • Grounding/bonding
      • Tie-ins
      • Wire management
  • Set up and tie off ladders for the city/county inspectors
  • Help county/city inspectors with accessibility problems
  • Coordinate and perform pre-inspection and on-site problem solving to ensure compliance with policy


Qualifications:

  • Some electrical background
  • Strong communication skills with multiple parties utilizing technology
  • Strong analytical, creative, problem solving, and interpersonal/human relations skills
  • Comfortable being and working on roofs
  • Work well with others that are on your work team
  • Must have a valid state driver's license
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Comfort with using technology (computer, phone, email, etc.)
