Job description

Energy Consultant - Close Deals. Change Lives.

Dallas, TX  |  Full-Time  |  On-Site  |  Commission-Based

Hungry. Passionate. Driven by results. If that's you, we've got a seat on our sales team with your name on it - and no cap on what you can earn.

Freedom Power was born when Freedom Solar and Freedom HVAC joined forces to become Texas's complete whole-house energy company. We don't just install equipment. We hand homeowners the keys to something bigger: control over their energy, their bills, and their future. We call it Energy Empowerment, and it's not a tagline - it's the reason we show up every day.

As an Energy Consultant, you'll sit down with homeowners and show them exactly what solar can do for their home and their wallet. You'll receive pre-qualified leads, design solar systems that actually fit, and close deals - all backed by two weeks of company-paid sales training to get you field-ready from day one. Hit your numbers, and $150K+ a year isn't a stretch goal. It's the floor for consultants who show up and have the skills.  In this role you will also be eligible to sell our other product lines, such as generators, batteries, and hvac, if you prove yourself as a top performer.

Freedom Solar is looking to add to our growing sales team with an In-Home Solar Design Consultant. We want hungry, passionate, and results-driven Sales Consultants to join us! You will educate, qualify, and advise future customers on the benefits of smart energy conservation and consumption practices. This is a commission-based opportunity.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

  • Consult with prospective customers on solar energy solutions for their home.
  • Hit your numbers - quotas, lead response time, meeting conversions, all of it.
  • Qualify prospective customers using proven and creative lead methods to build your own book of business.
  • Design and build solar energy systems tailored to each customer's needs.
  • Dive into ongoing training - classroom instruction, self-study, licensing, and lead-qualifying activities.
  • Build real relationships with your sphere of influence and the community.
  • Work hand-in-hand with our affiliate partners and vendors for flawless lead response and nurturing.
  • Keep your weekly reporting sharp and on time.
  • Show up at community events and outreach opportunities to meet future customers.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A results-driven mindset - you're motivated by hitting (and beating) your numbers
  • Hunger and passion for the work, not just a paycheck
  • The ability to close deals - 3+ years of solar or in-home sales experience is a big plus
  • A genuine desire to help people, with an eye for the details that matter
  • Quick thinking and clear communication, especially on your feet
  • A problem-solver's mindset - you love a challenge and love finding the fix

THE PHYSICAL SIDE

  • Comfortable with light lifting and carrying (under 15 lbs), walking, standing, and sitting throughout the day
  • Able to operate office equipment and a motor vehicle, with travel by car roughly 10% of the time
  • Comfortable working closely with others as well as independently

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

  • Uncapped commission - your effort and results decide your paycheck, not a ceiling
  • Average earnings of $150,000+ per year for consultants meeting KPI expectations
  • Two weeks of company-paid sales training to set you up for success in the field
  • A steady pipeline of leads and support from our affiliate partners and vendors
  • Uncapped earning potential - your effort and results decide your paycheck, not a ceiling

ONE MORE THING

One of our favorite core values is Give a Damn - and that's exactly what we're looking for. Don't check every box above? Apply anyway. We hire for grit, hustle, and character as much as resumes - and we're always excited to discover skills we didn't know we needed.

Freedom Power is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

A typical day may include:
  • Consult with prospective customers on solar energy solutions for their home.
  • Leveraging an in-depth knowledge of solar leasing programs to guide customers in selecting the most suitable financing options for their energy needs.
  • Achieve sales goals including quotas, lead response timeliness, meeting conversions, etc.
  • Qualify prospective customers using established and creative lead methods to build your book of business.
  • Design and build Solar Energy systems that fit the prospective customer's needs.
  • Participate in on-the-job training, classroom instruction, self-study, licensing (if applicable), and lead qualifying activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your sphere of influence and the community.
  • Work with our Affiliate Partners and Vendors to ensure flawless execution of lead response, lead nurturing, etc.
  • Weekly reporting.
  • Attend events selected for outreach to prospective solar customers.
This job might be for you if you:
  • Are motivated and driven by results.
  • Are hungry and passionate about what you do.
  • Can close deals (3+ years of solar/in-home sales a plus!)
  • Like helping people and paying attention to the details.
  • Think on your feet and communicate clearly.
  • Love taking on challenges and finding solutions to solving problems.
This is a W-2, full-commission position with no cap on earning potential. The first 2-week company-paid sales training sets you up for success in the field. Once in the field if you are meeting company-given KPI expectations the average earnings range between $100,000-200,000 per year.
