Project Overview

The project is a 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, being constructed adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes multiple power generation technologies consisting of Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated balance of plant infrastructure.

The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works required to support phased energization and turnover of the facility. Construction will be executed through a combination of direct hire and subcontracted labor supported by modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging methodologies.

Job Summary

Coordinates and integrates external construction support activities that directly impact project execution. Serves as the primary interface between the construction organization and external stakeholders including data center logistics providers, onsite concrete batching operations, transportation agencies, utility providers, local authorities, logistics contractors, and third-party service organizations. Responsible for ensuring offsite and site-support activities are aligned with construction priorities, project schedules, traffic management requirements, and operational readiness objectives. Provides an outward-facing coordination function that removes constraints and enables efficient site execution.

Major Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary construction interface for external logistics, transportation, and site-support activities.
  • Coordinate daily activities between construction operations and data center logistics providers.
  • Coordinate onsite batching plant operations to ensure concrete supply supports construction schedules and productivity targets.
  • Lead coordination of project traffic management plans and site access strategies.
  • Interface with state, county, and local transportation authorities regarding roadway access, traffic control measures, permitting, and traffic impacts.
  • Coordinate with ODOT and other regulatory agencies on transportation requirements, road closures, haul routes, oversized loads, and permit compliance.
  • Support planning and execution of major deliveries, heavy haul activities, and critical logistics operations.
  • Coordinate external utility providers and support organizations whose activities impact project execution.
  • Participate in construction readiness reviews, logistics planning meetings, and operational coordination sessions.
  • Identify external constraints affecting construction operations and lead resolution efforts.
  • Support development and implementation of site logistics plans and construction support strategies.
  • Coordinate construction interfaces with security, workforce transportation, parking, laydown areas, and delivery staging activities.
  • Support emergency response planning and external stakeholder coordination activities.
  • Monitor external support performance and identify opportunities to improve construction efficiency.
  • Prepare coordination reports, logistics updates, traffic management plans, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support site leadership by coordinating issues that extend beyond direct construction supervision responsibilities.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong understanding of construction execution and field operations.
  • Knowledge of logistics planning, transportation coordination, and traffic management principles.
  • Understanding of permitting, regulatory, and stakeholder interface requirements.
  • Strong coordination, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple external interfaces and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, logistics providers, and public agencies.
  • Ability to identify constraints and proactively implement solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with construction management, engineering, supply chain, safety, security, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting large industrial, manufacturing, data center, power generation, infrastructure, or EPC projects preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with external agencies, logistics providers, transportation authorities, contractors, or regulatory organizations.
  • Experience supporting construction execution and field operations.
