Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Residential Solar Installer is responsible to assist with the solar installation process and to ensure highest quality installation possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Able to install conduit for attic and roof worksites.
  • Ensure attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and safety.
  • Participate in required training programs
  • Use the proper safety equipment for safe installation practices as directed.
  • Maintain knowledge of code.
  • Perform Installations with the highest level of craftsmanship and workmanship.
  • Be efficient and productive during installations.
  • Follow instructions of the Residential Solar Foreman.
  • Follow Construction Job Flow Procedures.
  • Perform all installation duties.
  • Ensure accuracy of your own time as recorded by the Solar Foreman.
  • Maintain excellent lines of communication.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • An understanding of construction drawings & blue prints
  • Minimum of 1 year job related experience (Solar Construction)
  • OSHA 10 Certification (OSHA 30 preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Good organizational skills, detail oriented, efficient and reliable
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Player, ability to work in a fast paced environment, flexible and adaptable to changes to planned tasks or schedule Ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times
  • Able to work productively as a crew member

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week or more if required
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. unassisted
  • May require repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting throughout workdays
  • Valid driver license and proof of insurability required when job duties require use of motor vehicle
  • Requires exercising of discretion in decision making process and maintaining of strict confidentiality with respect to customer, employee and company proprietary related information
