GENERAL FUNCTION: This position serves as a first line of defense within the Line of Business (LOB) exercising independent judgment and decision making around loan draw requests in the Solar industry portfolio and alerting the PM's of any violations or pending issues as it relates to production numbers and covenants. This role will assist with the Solar Credit Portfolio dashboard and Credit Excellence Process while working in alignment with the PM's and Credit Analysts. This role is responsible for understanding the strategic goals and objectives of the business and providing necessary support and solutions to help meet those objectives. The Solar Loan Administration Analyst will also work closely with our Commercial Clients to ensure all legal and due diligence items are completed in a timely and compliant manner.

The role is responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the Solar Credit Portfolio dashboard review and update process (monthly).
    >>Interacts with line of business managers to review portfolio status updates
    >>Collects and reviews renewable energy loan portfolio reporting, confirms loan production and collateral information for data validation
    >>Reviews/updates financial off-taker and credit rating information
    >>Creates charting and table data illustrations for KPI and KRI reporting
  • Leads the Solar Credit Portfolio dashboard presentation process for Executive Management (quarterly)
  • Maintain broad working knowledge of commercial lending functions and supporting risk processes
  • Functional knowledge of commercial credit policies and procedures
  • Approves and processes construction draws including monitoring construction timelines (including conversion of construction phase to term phase in AFS).
  • Tracks post-closing deliverables and works to clear those items (including legal documentation).
  • Supports the Credit Excellence Process on a Portfolio wide basis while working closely with PMs and CrAs who are individually accountable for their portfolios.
  • Interprets solar production data and covenant compliance and alerting the team of any issues.
  • Issues Letters of Credit associated with solar projects.
  • Monitors upcoming Portfolio Management requirements including loan ratings, Tier 1's, etc.
  • Works closely with the Regional Closing Managers to ensure timely and accurate onboarding and loan closing processes are completed.
  • Managing and monitoring all portfolio activity including delinquent payments, overdrafts, late fees.
  • Develops presentations and analysis and leverages analysis to provide insight.
  • Identifies and develops self-directed advanced learning opportunities

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years Commercial Banking experience in renewable energy asset management, commercial banking, and/or construction monitoring.
  • Highly proficient analytical skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Experience managing a commercial client portfolio.
  • Experience managing large sets of bank portfolio data and performing KPI/KRI analysis for senior management review
  • General understanding of commercial credit functions
  • Potential for future growth within the commercial line of business with leadership potential
  • Ability to lead program development with minimal input when appropriate to skillset
  • Team player with ability to partner, develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders including clients, relationship manager and credit teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; self-directed.
  • Some credit analysis experience preferred
  • Experience in loan administration in construction/Solar industry desirable
  • Proficient with technology and ability to learn new applications
  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature
  • Must be proficient in basic software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
