Position Overview

As a Geotechnical Soils and Construction Materials Laboratory Technician Level II at Bunnell Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE), you will assume a pivotal role in our organization's dedication to excellence in our AASHTO and CCRL accredited laboratory. Reporting directly to our Lab manager. An essential aspect of your role is to perform geotechnical soil testing by ASTM standards and contribute to the continuous development of a collaborative team environment. Your expertise and dedication will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our laboratory and ensuring the success of our projects.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • 2 out of 3 of these ACI Certifications
    • ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician
    • ACI Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1
    • ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician
  • 3 years of experience working in a geotechnical or construction material laboratory
  • High School or General Education Equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Basic level proficiency in MS Office applications (Word & Excel).
  • Good handwriting skills
  • Ability to use hand tools and testing apparatuses.
  • Ability to stand, squat, kneel or bend over for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to efficiently work independently while completing scheduled tasks
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with team members, and BLE leadership.
