Technical Analyst

(Temporary Contract)

Location: Windsor, ON

Reporting to the Manager IT Operations, the successful applicant for this position will be responsible for providing functional and technical expertise on corporate systems and/or infrastructure systems to the end-user community. This position is also responsible for analysis, design, development, testing, administration, including database management, configuration/compliance, implementation, and support and project control/management over information and operational technologies which include ERP, GIS, and CIS. The successful incumbent will guide Analysts, Programmers, System Support Analysts, and other users including Managers and Supervisors through the implementation phase of small to medium projects. The Technical Analyst will investigate and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems; address technical requirements related to corporate applications, mobile phones, virtual solutions, operating systems, patches and upgrades, software deployment & distribution, and cyber security. The Technical Analyst will propose innovative ideas and strategies, question traditional methods and practices while offering practical alternatives. This position will also develop and administer security standards and change management procedures across corporate applications and operating systems.

The successful applicant must have the following skills and competencies:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of similar or related experience; OR College diploma in a related field with a minimum of three (3) years' similar or related experience.
  • Experience in planning and executing SAP S/4HANA release upgrades using Software Update Manager and Maintenance Planner, including SAP Readiness Checks, Simplification Item remediation, and post-upgrade adjustments.
  • Experience supporting backend architecture of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer information systems (CIS) and geographic information systems (GIS) considered an asset.
  • Develop and implement system copies and data refreshes.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP Basis tasks such as SAP system upgrades, refreshes, migrations, patch installations, applying notes and DR testing.
  • Experience in handling S4 HANA and exposure to NetWeaver concepts and products (Fiori, Solman, and Enterprise Portal) and other SAP systems.
  • Managing and building security roles and user management in SAP environments, including both back-end and Fiori Launchpad concepts.
  • Strong working knowledge in Linux and Windows operating system platforms.
  • Experience in managing SAP environments in both on-premises and private cloud-based infrastructures (RISE).
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring tools (e.g., SAP Early Watch Alert, SAP Cloud ALM).
  • Strong technology project management skills focused within an information systems and infrastructure environment.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills with customer service focus.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactively research, analyze and recommend current trends, standards, practices and/or products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team through successful, positive and collaborative relationships.
  • Valid class "G" driver's license is an asset.

Salary Range for Qualified Candidates: $104,074 - $115,638
