Job description

Overview
Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Software IT Business Analyst Tester to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

The Software IT Business Analyst Tester works closely with the programmer to analyze customers' functional needs. Supports turning the functional needs into a requirements document. Develops and performs all necessary quality assurance testing to validate the user receives a quality product that meets their needs.
Responsibilities
  • Works with developers to collect and analyze information from customers to formulate the scope and objectives of the application or system
  • Helps to analyze and evaluate user requirements by coordinating with the user to define the problem, data set availability, report requirements and system design problems
  • Works with team members to define system requirements and prepares system design specifications to meet user requirements
  • Works with team to develop requirements documentation including data and process flow diagrams
  • Develops user documentation and training material
  • Collaborates with software development teams and other product owners to understand requirements and develop and manage the test scenarios for all the new development projects
  • Designs, creates and builds test cases, test plans and test strategies
  • Communicates, prioritizes and tracks test execution, defects and issues
  • Facilitates functional testing, regression testing, user interface testing, and unit testing for all new features in cross browser environments including mobile devices
  • Delivers quality products by thoroughly performing regression, functional, integration, end to end testing during each phase of the development life cycle using a combination of testing methods
  • Works with the development team to create automated test scripts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree, plus practical IT software testing experience as described in the job description; or
  • Associate's degree in computer science or related degree, plus practical IT software testing experience as described in the job description; or
  • High School Diploma/GED plus practical IT software testing experience as described in the job description.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree
  • Experience as a Software Tester
  • Experience with Testing Automation
  • Experience with Atlassian products
