The Senior Software Engineer will work on the development and maintenance of robust, compliant software solutions using .NET, Python, and cloud technologies. This role ensures high availability and quality by standardizing processes, resolving complex issues, and fostering cross-team collaboration.
Location: This position is primarily work-from-home (WAH); however, candidates must be based in and able to work from Louisville, KY; Dallas, TX; or Nashville, TN. Occasional in-office presence may be required based on business needs.
The Senior Software Engineer will leverage industry best practices in software development, system architecture, and technical leadership to deliver reliable and compliant solutions. This role is instrumental in maintaining high availability and regulatory standards across our pharmacy benefit platforms. The engineer will provide hands-on expertise in both new development and ongoing maintenance, utilizing technologies such as .NET, Python, and cloud services (e.g., Azure or GCP). Responsibilities include promoting cross-team collaboration, facilitating knowledge transfer, and minimizing operational risks. The Senior Software Engineer will standardize quality assurance processes, oversee testing and debugging, and implement effective solutions for complex software issues

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in .NET application development. Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular).
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP), APIs, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Hands-on experience in PostgreSQL for database management and operations.
  • Expertise with Git and DevOps for version control and collaboration within a DevOps environment. Hands-on expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare domain, including industry standards and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience with agile methodologies and project management principles.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on expertise with prompt engineering, large language models, and emerging AI trends.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) implementation, testing, and monitoring processes.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing Pyspark, Databricks, and Streamsets for large-scale data processing and pipeline development.
  • Practical experience with Kafka for implementing messaging and data streaming solutions.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake and Power BI for data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
