Job Description SDET Engineers are involved in requirements analysis, test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation, and execution of all testing (which may include application integration, system, system/network integration, performance testing and acceptance testing) required to ensure that the software is of the highest quality. After the project is released to production, these teammates are also involved to providing support to our internal customer, the technical operation group as well as service management. Besides, this role also plays a significant part of internal process audit and improvement to build efficiencies.

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test solutions and frameworks using Python.
  • Build and implement automated tests for CLI, UI, API, integration, and end-to-end validation.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and other team members to understand requirements and develop effective test strategies and test cases.
  • Drive Quality Engineering standard methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in test planning, test design, estimation, execution, and release activities within Agile teams.
  • Implement functional, integration, and regression testing across multiple platforms, including Linux and Windows environments.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and supervise defects through resolution while performing root cause analysis.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid feedback cycles.
  • Perform API testing and data validation to ensure application reliability, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Work closely with globally distributed teams, ensuring effective collaboration across time zones and functions.
  • Use test management tools to run test execution, traceability, reporting, and quality metrics.
  • Support and ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and accepting modern testing tools, frameworks, and engineering practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experienced level in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
  • Work independently within defined parameters, taking ownership of problems within own area of knowledge.
  • Strong programming expertise in Python with experience developing reusable automation frameworks.
  • Experience implementing Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices using Robot Framework and Gherkin/Cucumber.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test build techniques, and Quality Engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency with source code management tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, or Git.
  • Experience working with TestRail or similar test management platforms.
  • Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Experience testing applications on both Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Expertise in cloud-native technologies and platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a global environment.
  • Proficiency with Networking, TCP/IP
Desired Skills
  • Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks, including Playwright and/or Selenium.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development platforms including GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) testing, including exposure to Terraform and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with Application Performance testing.
  • Experience testing APIs and validating backend data using SQL and other validation techniques.
