Full-time

Job description

Onspring is hiring a Software Engineer with a passion for building great software, solving meaningful problems, and growing professionally and personally. You will own the delivery of platform features end-to-end, collaborate closely with your team, and contribute to a codebase that powers GRC programs for organizations across the world. Onspring is deeply focused on product quality and customer experience, and every engineer on our team shares that commitment.

If youโ€™re a motivated engineer with a passion for quality software, a growth mindset, and a genuine desire to make a difference through your craft, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Feature Delivery: Own the end-to-end delivery of well-defined features โ€” from design through testing and deployment โ€” with minimal rework after review.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, readable, well-tested code. Participate actively in code reviews, both giving and receiving substantive feedback.
  • Testing: Write unit and integration tests as a standard part of development; build coverage with intent, not just for coverage metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teammates, product, and QA to clarify requirements, identify edge cases, and deliver reliable outcomes.
  • CI/CD & Deployments: Understand and contribute to our CI/CD pipelines; deploy confidently and support the team in maintaining a healthy release process.
  • Incident Support: Participate in on-call rotations; diagnose and resolve common production issues independently and escalate complex incidents promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and address technical debt in your areas of work; proactively suggest process or tooling improvements.
  • Documentation: Write clear documentation for your code, features, and processes so teammates can build on your work confidently.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET MVC.
  • Experience with a JavaScript framework (Vue.js, Angular, React, or similar) and jQuery.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate development, before incorporating it into production.
  • 2โ€“4 years of professional software development experience.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and pull-request-based development workflows.
  • Ability to work independently within a sprint, self-manage delivery, and escalate blockers promptly.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Couchbase, Redis, or similar).
  • Kendo UI or similar component libraries.
  • Prompt engineering, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • IIS configuration and management.
  • Deployment tooling (Octopus Deploy or similar).
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker) or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).

Personal Attributes & Values:

  • Craves interesting and challenging problems โ€” not just tasks.
  • Wants to make a real difference through their craft.
  • Receives and applies feedback with a growth mindset.
  • Communicates clearly and asks good questions.
  • Is interested in building a world-class GRC automation platform.

Work Location: On-site and hybrid options available
