Job Description: Project/Development Manager

Minimum 8 years of experience

 

Accomplished Software Development Manager that can execute many roles including Project Manager, Business Analyst, Product Owner, Scrum Master and Support Analyst. 

Experience within the field of courts, probation, prosecution and/or integrated justice systems automation is a plus!

Proficient in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies for iterative software development.

Proven track record in planning, business requirements gathering and validation, customer relationship management, executing and monitoring projects, and delivering successful outcomes within given project constraints.

Responsibilities also include overseeing the software development lifecycle, managing project timelines, and mentoring team members.

 

Requirements and Duties include:

Facilitate client stakeholder meetings for planning, design and requirements meeting and product review sessions.

Capture and define specifications and business analysis requirements.

Prepare estimates and develop detailed project plans for all project phases.

Collaborate with development team members in design sessions, scrum meetings and stand ups.

Develop User Stories, Use Cases, and customer presentations. Develop and handle customer Help and Support Tickets.

Managing the product backlog and prioritizing items based on changing requirements.

Identify and manage project risks, communicate potential risks to management, and develop mitigation plans.

Strong desire and passion to become an expert on our products and market, including the ability to conduct product demonstrations.

Perform quality assurance planning and software testing execution.

Own and develop relationships with clients and partners.

Manage and Lead small, medium, and large sized projects with high visibility. 

Report on technical issues or questions and make recommendations to the product team.

Develop, and eventually use AI to develop, user guides and training materials and execute training sessions including train-the-trainer sessions.

Participate in new business developments activities such as proposal development, demoing solutions and going to conferences.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills.

 

Desired Skills

Background in Court and Justice domain.

Solid experience in writing SQL queries.

Experience with project management tools such as Jira and MS Project.

Experience with report design and development tools.

 

Additional Considerations

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desired.

Experience: At least 8 years in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role is preferred.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, PMP) can be advantageous.
