Job description

Salary: $55,930DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects while maintaining Pride’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (ProductionWare) throughout all areas of Domestic and International Manufacturing

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

•Prepare production layouts for new processes

•Create and maintain layout drawings for new and existing processes

•Perform time studies on processes and perform field tests using standard instruments and procedures

•Develop and maintain detailed work procedures or assembly of simple to complex procedures

•Review Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s) and update existing procedures accordingly

•Provide direct support to Production for root cause of assembly issues and assist in developing a recommended solution for any production issue

•Train operators on new or updated procedures

•Assemble and install new or altered mechanical equipment, parts, and machine tools

•Assist with repairing and maintaining engineered machinery

•Collect and maintain database information for engineering projects

•Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on special projects

•Maintain Pride’s MES (ProductionWare) system by completing change requests, implementing new work instructions, updating filters and commands both Domestic and International

•Troubleshoot and resolve MES system hardware and software issues

•Use the Production Scheduler to complete migration testing and close out test orders

•Organize, maintain, and reorder production tool and IT equipment used on the production floor

•Support Productions Print on Demand Process both Domestic and Internationally

•Assign and maintain Deviations that affect Manufacturing through Pride’s MES (ProductionWare) system

•Assist with future implementations of Pride’s MES (ProductionWare) System throughout all International Manufacturing Facilities

•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

•Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training

•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS

Must be a team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:

•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

•Use hand tools and standard power tools

•Read and comprehend work instructions

•Prepare and present summary reports

•Use precision measuring instruments which includes micrometers, calipers, and volt meters

•Work extended hours to perform repairs, installation of new equipment, and meet project deadlines

•Lift/push/pull 40 lbs.

Must have:

PREFERRED SKILLS

•Basic understanding of Production Test Fixture design, Lean Principles, and Lean and Flow Manufacturing Principles preferred

•Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD engineering software preferred

•Basic working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, Adobe Illustrator, and Production Control Systems preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

•At least 2 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, or technical processes OR an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering related field with a successful internship experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, or technical processes

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

•At least 1 year of experience using precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and volt meters preferred

•At least 2 year of experience Single Piece Flow, and Manufacturing Standards such as 5S, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and DFT preferred

•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION

•High School Diploma or GED

PREFERRED EDUCATION

•Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering related field preferred
