Position Summary

We are seeking a Software Test / Integration Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and release of software and hardware systems used in advanced aerospace and in-flight entertainment platforms. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with a passion for technology, troubleshooting, and systems integration.

The successful candidate will work closely with software, systems, and hardware engineering teams to validate new functionality, perform integration testing, maintain test environments, investigate system issues, and support product releases. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with complex embedded systems, avionics technologies, and large-scale software platforms.


Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Integration & Testing
  • Perform hardware and software integration of new and existing systems, functions, and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
  • Execute integration testing to validate system and component functionality.
  • Maintain and configure test rack environments to support system installations and testing activities.
  • Participate in software release verification and regression testing efforts.
  • Support validation of system requirements through development and execution of test plans and procedures.
  • Ensure all testing activities, results, and findings are accurately documented.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues discovered during integration and testing.
  • Serve as a focal point for problem investigation and system-level troubleshooting of assigned products.
  • Analyze system anomalies and collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Support engineering teams across the organization with technical investigations and testing activities.
Engineering Collaboration
  • Work closely with software developers, systems engineers, and hardware engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in design reviews and system functionality evaluations.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Communicate technical findings effectively through reports, presentations, and team discussions.

Required QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in:
    • Computer Science
    • Computer Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Software Engineering
    • Or a related technical discipline
  • Equivalent combination of education and applicable experience will be considered.
Experience
  • 0-3 years of experience in:
    • Software engineering
    • Systems engineering
    • Software testing
    • Hardware testing
    • Systems integration
  • Internship or co-op experience in testing, validation, or development environments is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Technical background in software development, testing, or systems integration.
  • Familiarity with Unix and Linux operating systems.

  • Experience creating and executing test procedures.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Communication Skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the aerospace, avionics, embedded systems, or in-flight entertainment (IFE) industries.

  • Knowledge of networking, embedded systems, or aircraft systems is a plus.

Work Environment
  • Approximately 75% of time will be spent working at integration and test racks.
  • Position requires hands-on interaction with hardware and system components.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, twist, and lift equipment during testing activities.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
