How You Will Contribute:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving test strategies, test plans, and test execution for Ciena's WaveLogic Optical Modem. Additionally, the candidate will support field activities and frequently interact with customers, PLM, and R&D.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans to validate customer use-cases and product capabilities

  • Build test environment for test execution while considering potential and likely interactions across different features of the product

  • Perform validation testing activities,

  • Report defects and follow up on their closure with design team

  • Develop Python automation test cases for execution efficiency and augment existing automated test cases

The Must Haves:
  • Knowledge of optical technology and photonics

  • Experience working with developing automation with Python

  • Understanding of software testing

  • Understanding of Linux operation systems and standard tools

  • Knowledge of automation languages such as Python and should be able to write, execute and fix automation scripts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in troubleshooting

  • Strong commitment to product excellence and quality, with ability to understand customers' perspective

  • Communication skills, presentation, and public speaking

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, to effectively communicate/collaborate in multi-site environment.

  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices

  • Understanding of IP and Ethernet networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VLANs

  • Understanding of CLI, JSON, and SDKs and how to use them to effectively communicate with and configure devices

  • Enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Optical Communications

Work from Atlanta office at 1120 Sanctuary Parkway Alpharetta GA, Tuesday to Thursday.


Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $26.50-$37.50
