UAT Tester

Location: Hybrid - Reston, VA - 3 days per week onsite

NO Corp to Corp or IC

The Quality Tester Analyst role will offer you the flexibility to contribute across the software testing lifecycle while working alongside a collaborative team to deliver the following responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end (E2E), system, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Conduct API testing and backend validation of applications and services.
  • Develop and enhance automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and BDD/Gherkin methodologies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and validate business functionality.
  • Analyze defects, identify root causes, document findings, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Validate XML-based transactions and data exchanges, including MISMO-compliant mortgage datasets.
  • Execute database validation and perform backend testing using Oracle and SQL queries.
  • Support testing efforts related to Uniform Closing Disclosure (UCD), mortgage loan origination, loan closing, and loan acquisition processes.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, test evidence, defect reports, and quality metrics.
  • Utilize Jira and GitLab to manage testing activities and support continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Leverage modern AI-assisted tools, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Visual Studio Code capabilities, to improve productivity, accelerate analysis, and enhance testing effectiveness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality engineering best practices, automation maturity, and process optimization.

Minimum Required Experience

  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience.
  • 3+ years of experience testing enterprise web and backend applications.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
