Job description

We are looking for a professional Technical Writer to join the 6K Team!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the IMD, the Technology Innovation Section (TIS) executes its mission by providing essential Information Technology (IT) solutions. The TIS delivers Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for automated data processing, network infrastructure, and software application development for the IMD's various mission critical authorized systems of records.
DUTIES
  • Supports proposal development across all phases of writing in support of both standard and non-standard proposals.
  • Develops user stories, writing strategies, technical solutions, win themes, discriminators, and compliance matrices in accordance with proposal best practices.
  • Supports proposal management-related activities such as scheduling, roles, and responsibilities assignments, kickoffs, solution sessions, and color team reviews.
  • Manages rigorous schedules to ensure on-time delivery of proposals.
  • Acts as the second-hand in the proposal lifecycle by confirming execution and delivery of the proposal, as well as win tracking.
  • Supports milestone status reviews to assess proposal readiness while tracking against a rigorous timeline.
  • Writes and edits technical documents including reference manuals and product articles.
  • Writes and edits procedural documentation such as user guides and workflow articles.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Five Years of MS Desktop Productivity Suite 2013 or higher
  • Five Years of technical and college-level writing and grammar
  • Expertise Knowledge in file and folder structure architecture and naming conventions
  • Working Knowledge with MS SharePoint/ SharePoint Designer 2013 or higher, MS Team Foundation Server 2015 or higher, Atlassian JIRA software and Confluence, MS Project 2016 or higher
  • Experience with IT terminology and acronyms, basic IT hardware and networking comprehension, basic software development comprehension, technical document development, tracking request for changes (RFCs), editing, document classification and maintenance.
