JN -072026-107776

Responsibilities:
  • Coach engineers, architects, scrum leads, and engineering managers in XP and Lean ways of working.
  • Partner with Product Coaches to align technical decisions, sequencing, and tradeoffs with product outcomes.
  • Coach teams to apply systems thinking, using story maps and discovery trees to clarify outcomes, explore options, slice work thin, and connect technical work to end-to-end customer value.
  • Enable small-batch delivery by helping teams slice work thin, shorten feedback loops, and deploy frequently and confidently through strong tests, design, and CI/CD.
  • Communicate progress with evidence, including what changed, the impact, and what is next.
  • Hold a high standard without being dogmatic and adapt to context without lowering the bar.
Experience Requirements:
  • Software delivery with ability to pair in production code, review designs, and coach refactoring with confidence.
  • XP practices including test-first development, refactoring, pairing or ensemble work, continuous integration, and trunk-based development.
  • Legacy code techniques including characterization tests, safe refactoring, and risk-driven modernization.
  • Test strategy across micro or unit testing, mutation testing, and pragmatic use of the test pyramid.
  • Delivery enablement with test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps practices that shorten feedback loops.
  • Lean delivery including visualizing work, removing bottlenecks, and value stream mapping.
  • Metrics and forecasting using flow metrics and probabilistic forecasting to support learning rather than to police teams.
  • AI-assisted development with hands-on experience using AI coding tools and agent-based workflows, including vibe coding practices, and ability to coach constitutional AI principles so AI-generated work remains auditable and aligned with team standards.
