Job Summary:

The Sr. Software Strategy Lead will define and drive the software strategy for consumer-facing software experiences, engaging with customers and partners to ensure successful outcomes across complex initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Define, own and evolve portfolio-level software strategy across the Client and Graphics product portfolio to strengthen competitive positioning and establish long‑term thought leadership.
• Act as a senior strategic interface with strategic customers and ecosystem partners to shape, align, and execute software strategies that deliver sustained, long‑term value for AMD and its partners.
• Own multi-year strategic planning for critical software enablement, including APIs and key software components, to enable differentiated and compelling end‑user experiences.
• Drive alignment and execution through close collaboration with Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Architecture, Program Management, and Product Management teams.
• Communicate strategy, priorities, and progress effectively to executive leadership, providing clear, data-based updates that support informed decision‑making and successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A recognized strategic leader with a proven ability to define, influence and execute long‑term software strategy while ensuring critical near-term outcomes.
• Demonstrates a rich system‑level perspective with an understanding of end‑to‑end platform experiences across consumer segments such as PC, Gaming, and AI‑related products, and deep level of familiarity with the Windows ecosystem.
• Brings exceptional executive communication and influence skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a wide range of stakeholders.
• Operates effectively in a complex, cross‑functional environments, balancing strategic thinking with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes.
• Define, own and evolve portfolio-level software strategy across the Client and Graphics product portfolio to strengthen competitive positioning and establish long‑term thought leadership.

Preferred:

• Strong understanding of Client hardware and software ecosystems, with particular familiarity with the Windows platform and associated ecosystems.
• Experience with consumer AI technologies and related software ecosystems, and an understanding of their impact on end‑user experiences.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams and drive alignment toward successful outcomes.
• Experience defining and influencing multi‑year strategies, balancing near‑term execution with long‑term vision.
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred
