A Software Packager is a professional responsible for preparing, packaging, and deploying software applications for installation across computers or servers. They create installation packages, often using tools like Microsoft SCCM, InstallShield, or Windows Installer, to ensure software is installed consistently and reliably in enterprise environments. Software Packagers also test packages for compatibility and troubleshoot installation issues. Their work helps streamline software distribution and maintain system stability across organizations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a software packager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Software Packager, you need strong knowledge of software deployment concepts, scripting languages (such as PowerShell or Bash), and familiarity with operating systems like Windows and Linux, often backed by relevant IT certifications.
