Job Description

Job Title: Software License Manager

Location: Washington DC

Duration: 3 months +

Need Full GC and USC

Need Locals

Job Description:

Processing over 1,000 tickets per month

Analyzing software usage and leading efforts to recover unused software to inventory and return it to inventory

Helping evaluate requests for new software

Producing regular and special reports about software request tickets and license usage

Ongoing process improvement

Support mainframe upgrades by serving as point of contact with software vendors to determine if license requirements will need to change for the upgrade.

Continue to improve data quality by reviewing software contracts and requesting corrections/updates in the Asset database.

Requirements:

  • Must have strong project management background - need to be able to plan, organize and implement solutions for software license management and the definitive media library
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Tasks will include written reports, presentations and written analysis of topics related to software licensing.
  • Must have strong reading and analysis skills. Tasks will include reading software license contracts and understanding license models and terms of use. Will also include participation in discussions about enterprise license agreements as they come up for renewal
  • Experience in software license management and or asset management a plus.
