Job description

Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

Make transformational change in the automation of network management tasks, by leveraging a software support background composed of software development and minor project management, software deployment and ongoing support within a telecom environment. Develop scripts and utilities on request and participate and influence the development and management of the larger applications. Work on a team to make complex development projects. Understand and troubleshoot server and network infrastructure and support users in a technical capacity. Work with REST based applications, App Servers, Distributed systems, Wirelines Networks KPI's, Wireless networks deployment processes and other Wireless centric Network architectures. Develop applications, tools and scripts based on user requirements. Development of Tools in Linux and other environments. Development of Web UI applications, composed of front and back end. Develop interworking between applications using Rest API. Installation and Management/Support of monolithic as well as Cloud centric applications. Maintain and manage enhancements for Commissioning and Integration tools and Software. Maintain and support Network Performance Visualization tools. Administer software applications. Discover, report and resolve Application issues. Provide Technical Training around managed tools. Work with stakeholders to improve performance and stability. Work closely with leads and other team members to develop enhancements to existing tools capabilities. Troubleshoot and fix bugs.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any software developer/engineering related job titles.

Applicants must have 5 years of experience in the following: (1) Using Linux and building, troubleshooting, testing and executing applications and scripts for Linux environments, using scripting languages Java and Python; (2) developing UI applications, using JavaScript, HTML, and CCS; (3) Software Development and testing, including cloud computing and cloud based distributed applications; (4) CI/CD and Software Management as well as Source Control and Software Release management; (5) SQL based DB queries; and (6) XML, JSON, CSV, REST, and Webservices; (7) 4G/5G Network architectures and deployment; and (8) Wireless networks deployment processes and other Wireless centric Network architectures.
