Job description

As a Licensing Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in keeping Maverik stores operating by managing the permits and licenses required to open new locations, complete remodels, and maintain compliance across existing stores. You'll partner with regulatory agencies, internal business partners, and store teams while balancing multiple deadlines, tracking projects, and ensuring every application is accurate and complete. This role directly supports new store openings, remodels, and ongoing operations by ensuring critical licenses and permits are completed accurately and on time, helping prevent delays that could impact the business.

Location/Schedule 

  • This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters and has an in office requirement for this role Monday to Friday. 

What You’ll do in this Role 

  • Conduct initial research of requirements for store licensing including, communicating with regulatory agencies to understand requirements and timelines for permits and applications.
  • Prepare applications for licenses, permits, and certifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required paperwork.
  • Track the status of permits and license applications, follow up, and escalate any issues or delays accordingly.
  • Maintain organized records of all permits and licenses, including, reviewing license renewals and payment for accuracy or changes.
  • Communicate effectively with federal, state, and local governments on requests and/or issues. 
  • Maintain daily reports on licensing projects, completion, and input information into our tracking software (Agiloft), and produce reports as needed.
  • Provide support to internal and external customers by responding to inquiries and assisting with resolving issues.

Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have: 

  • 1+ years in a licensing coordinator or administrative role
  • Experience with permitting and licensing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Bonus points if you also bring: 

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Compensation & Benefits 

Pay Range:$22.00-$25.00/hour + DOE and Bonus Opportunities 

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
