Role Overview:

The Vendor Onboarding Project Manager leads the successful onboarding and launch of new Marketplace vendors, ensuring seamless integration, operational readiness, and cross-functional alignment. This role serves as the primary coordinator across Product, Engineering, Vendor Partnerships, Finance, Legal, Fulfillment, and Marketplace Operations to deliver vendor launches and expansions that enhance the Marketplace and customer experience.

In addition to project delivery, this role is responsible for continuously improving onboarding processes, identifying operational efficiencies, and developing scalable frameworks that accelerate vendor launches globally.

Responsibilities:
 
Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end onboarding and launch activities for new and existing Marketplace vendors, post contract signature through launch.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria for API, SFTP, embedded, and manual integrations.
  • Manage multiple onboarding initiatives simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, developing mitigation plans to maintain project timelines.
  • Drive project governance through regular status updates, action tracking, and stakeholder accountability.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as the central point of coordination across Product, Engineering, Finance, Fulfillment, and Marketplace Operations.
  • Facilitate project meetings, decision-making, and issue resolution across technical and business teams.
  • Partner with vendors to coordinate technical requirements, launch readiness, testing, and operational processes.
  • Ensure all stakeholders understand project timelines, responsibilities, risks, and critical milestones.
Operational Excellence & Scalability
  • Continuously evaluate and improve vendor onboarding processes, documentation, and operational workflows.
  • Develop scalable onboarding frameworks, templates, governance, and best practices that reduce manual effort and improve launch efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, tooling enhancements, and process optimization.
  • Support onboarding metrics and reporting to measure launch efficiency and operational performance.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
  • Maintain accurate onboarding documentation, implementation guides, launch checklists, and process documentation.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing across Marketplace Operations.
  • Ensure onboarding standards remain current as products, integrations, and operational processes evolve.
 Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, Operations, Technical Implementations, or related fields.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives involving technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong project planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience working with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, or similar.
  • Familiarity with APIs, SFTP, integrations, and software implementation lifecycles.
  • Experience developing scalable operational processes and documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience within SaaS, Marketplace, Rewards, FinTech, or eCommerce environments is considered an asset.
