Overview:

The Senior Project Manager oversees civil construction projects, including utility installation and site development. This role is responsible for the efficient management of all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and overall project control, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.


This position offers significant upward growth potential for a high-performing individual. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track and evaluate key project metrics, including schedule, budget, change orders, materials, RFIs/submittals, safety, pay applications, and plan reviews.
  • Identify issues early and implement corrective measures to maintain project performance.
  • Lead weekly project management meetings to review progress and resolve challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance in utility installation (water, sewer, storm) and site development.
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, permits, safety standards, and local codes.
  • Support project sequencing, construction methods, and problem-solving on complex tasks.
  • Align project execution with company objectives and anticipate risks with mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost project efficiency.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, transparency, and responsiveness.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for project execution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of project plans, changes, correspondence, and closeouts.
  • Coordinate with estimating, safety, equipment, and procurement teams to ensure project success.


Experience Required:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong background in underground utilities and site development.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of scheduling, budgeting, construction documentation, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
